NBA Sky High On All-Star 2013 Jerseys

NBA.com and SLAM! Online have broken the big reveal of the 2012-2013 NBA All-Star Game Jerseys -- made by Adidas -- for the Annual game set for Sunday, February 17th in Houston, Texas.

According to Adidas' press release, the muse for the design of this year's jerseys was out-of-this-world (or off-of-the-ground, anyway...):

"...the uniforms take inspiration from Houston’s rich aeronautical history and the speed of the jet planes that dot its skies.  The uniforms’ eye-catching impact camo pattern evokes the world’s fastest fleet of aircraft with the classic silhouette of a basketball net."

I don't know about all THAT, but here's hoping that this year's game is as exciting as last year's game (no, really...it WAS...) when the East rallied back from a 21-point deficit to get to within two with several chances to hit the game-winner, to no avail.

Will the East exact some revenge this year, or will the West prove to be the dominant conference once again? Tune in and find out February 17th, when the NBA will reveal the new "Stars Compete For Charity" format for Sunday's game. Heck, tune in for Friday, February 15 and Saturday the 16th for that matter, and catch the Celebrity Game, the BBVA Rising Stars game, the Shooting Stars, 3-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk Contest and a host of other festive and competitive events!

We'll bring you more in-depth coverage as the date for All-Star Weekend draws closer, but we just wanted to be sure that you had the proper tools with which to begin imagining what Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and maybe even The Captain...The Truth...Paul Pierce (are you listening, coaches?!?!) will look like serving it up against the West in this year's showcase.
